Rose Quartz is a great crystal for dealing with matters of the heart from bringing in your soul mate to self love and relieving grief. It can stimulate circulation and calms the mind and releases worry. Get rid of your suspicions and mistrust and enhance your empathy and compassion for others.

Rose quartz can be cleaned with water and re-energised with salt, sound, moonlight and sage. You can also use visualisation to clear crystals by holding them in your hands and imagining them being filled with a bright white light which is the technique I currently use with Reiki. Selenite is a great crystal for clearing negativity and can be used to clean and recharge other crystals. Selenite is a soft stone that should be kept away from water.
