Have you ever had a spiritual experience that has saved your life? I have had this happen to me many times and one of those times was when I was working at my local supermarket, I was 19 at the time and I would cycle the same way home everyday late at night. I had done this for well over a year until one night I stopped suddenly. The feeling of dread was overwhelming like if I was to carry on with my journey something seriously bad was going to happen. Luckily I had listened because the next day it was confirmed that someone had been stabbed and had passed away on the same road and at the same time I would have been cycling home. I like to think that someone was looking after me that day and I often wonder if I would be hear right now to tell you the story.
I came across this story a few days ago and It totally resonates with me after a similar experience I had gone through not that long ago.
A young lady slept peacefully having the most wonderful dream about seeing her grandmother who had passed away until the dream took an unexpected turn, her grandmother turned to her grabbed her by the shoulders and said "it's time to wake up NOW, lock the front door and run back to bed" With this information she awoke like a flash running to the front door just as her Nana had prompted, quickly locking the front door that she had not realised was unlocked and then sprinting back to bed quite shaken after her strange dream. She said that it hadn't even been ten minutes before someone had appeared at the door knocking and trying to enter at five in the morning, she explains how she hasn't been able to sleep since that incident.
My experience was similar but no dream just a sudden wake up and the feeling of something bad was about to happen, that's when I heard them coming through the main entrance to the flats trying every single door handle. Stupid me didn't listen to the warning like the young lady did, I was convinced that I had locked the front door? well guess what I hadn't!! The front door started to open and in that moment it's fight or flight. I turned to my husband and said "someone's coming in to the flat" but I just couldn't wake him up, so that was it I was straight up like some sort of crazed super hero flying through the air with my kung fu kick straight into the front door and straight into their face. I don't think I have ever heard anyone run so fast or sound so terrified, little did they know it was just a little lady behind that door. That warning just might have saved my life, So next time you get that gut feeling like you should avoid a place or lock your front door just remember Nana's story and it might just save you too.
